Cologne, Germany

I visited Cologne during the first weekends----- one of the oldest of the major German cities which founded by the Romans.

Day 1:
We went there by car-pooling (in Germany, you can actually online to check for car-pooling and pay less than normal fare :)) and departed at about noon. An old German man as the driver, a young guy, one couple, buddy and I shared a van to our destination. Buddy and I chat and shared our thoughts all the way. My tears fell in his arm again (Can’t really stop myself for that le).

We reached about 4pm and waiting to check-in at 6pm. However, sudden plan changed due to some circumstances, we checked in to another place at around 7pm. We showered and out for dinner around 8pm. We have dinner at a Shanghai Chinese Restaurant. Price is about 15Euro for two. A nice lady boss giving us free soup of the day! Pity us for budget traveling … haha… :P

We go for a night walk after that. New kind of exploration my life. Visiting Sex shops! :P Hmm… varieties and weird stuffs. (Please don’t ask me any details as I just rush in and out from those shops… hehe). Went for some cocktails at bars and pubs…Eye opening evening :P. Around 11pm, we went back to rest. However, can’t sleep well (Sigh…heart pain till 4am!)

Day 2:
Woke up late. We slept till around noon. Had some toast with jams and spread before out for sight-seeing. Buddy brought me to the famous German largest cathedral St. Peter & Mary (Cologne's Dom) with its characteristic spires is Cologne's landmark. Cathedral building started 1248 and completion in 1880. A very nice and gothic church that I never seen before. Impressed by this architectural monument and its interior design.

We then visited Roman-Germanic Museum which is located near the cathedral. Exhibits of particular interest is the Dionysus Mosaic The museum also displays other mosaics, Roman glass, domestic pottery and sculpture, and much else besides. The Treasury contains Roman and Germanic gold jewelry.

Later in the evening, we went for some coffee and cakes. Another new experience in my life. A nice society with nice people around. Went back home for shower and packing. Taking another trip back with car pooling with a nice German young guy named Mirco. He brought us for some photography shooting session on our way back. He is even nice enough to send us back till door step.

Wow…… a nice and enjoyable trip.

P/S: Special thanks to my beloved for 'accompanying' me during my coffee
session :)

Gap Between Right and Wrong

Just before my trip to Cologne, I was in dilemma. My brain stuck!

Question: What is consider right and what is wrong? What justification can be made to determine that? And who is going to determine that?

Is happiness the key to determine that? Or is it ownself to say that? Or is it based on a religion manner? I was confused. I was standing at the gap. I was helpless. My head was very heavy and my heart was painful. I asked my beloved to ring me. I pour and cried to him. He cares, advice and comfort.

I felt better. I tried to look into the matter in different point of view. I felt more relieve and try to accept those that can’t be changed. I prayed for the best.

Conclusion: still pending ….

P/S: Thanks for the support and cares ya…without that I think I am still lost. Thanks for being there.

Heidelberg

Heidelberg is another town where buddy works....Is 10 mins S-bahn from home. However, time spent for waiting the train will end up to approximately 45 mins trip to get there. Is a small town which the famous university is located there.

Just so happened there was one day holiday, we took train down to Heidelberg main station and take a town bus to Old Town where is a tourist attraction. Most shops are closed on holiday. We just went for jalan-jalan and snapped photos for beautiful scenery. The air is cold that day and windy. I enjoyed the atmosphere abroad ! Never believe that I can be here...

Buddy brought me to some churches and chapels. Mostly closed and i just took some pics. We walked and chat all the way. He finally brought me to a castle. Is high above hill. He hold me till up to top of the castle. I am so happy that I managed to climb to that. Is enjoyable seeing the scenery from the castle.

"You can see more clearly at different position, try to explore bravely and never be feared!"

I learnt something.. Thanks for the advice, buddy.

LOVE?!

Came across this from a book .......Quite meaningful and touching.

Love feels like a warm puppy;
Love means sharing;
Love cures all hurt;
Love gives you strength;
It makes you notice those you love;
Love makes your heart singing;
Love means there’s always somewhere to shelter from the storm;
And like sunshine after rain, it can lead to a new beginning.
Love means caring for others;
Love makes you do silly things sometimes;
Love sometimes means losing control;
You can never escape from love.
You miss love when it’s not there.
Love is being found when you are lost;
Love means thinking of others;
Love means forgiveness;

Now I know what love really means...Caring, Sharing, Helping, Thinking and Forgiving.

But why LOVE is always easy to take and not easy to give?!

P/S: I love you all, my dearest! And thanks for your love too...

Pampered with Food

I never know that Buddy can cook and bake cakes very well...... When I am here, he will do kinds of cooking for me. He knew that I have no chance to enjoy this. Normally I am the one doing the cooking. This round, I am being pampered like a "queen"!

First of all, he made me a cake --- TIRAMISU. We spent about 30 mins to get all the preparation done. After 4 hours later in the fridge... I tasted the very first tiramisu that made by my beloved buddy. Hmm..... tasted good, though there is almond liquor inside, but i manage to finish half of the cake... yummy! I love the effort and love putting in it, make it unique.

Second dish----curry chicken. He managed to get it cook just in 30 mins. All the preparation and cooking is done by him. I just duduk diam diam and wait to be spoon feed :P . And....it tasted delicious ! The gravy is nice, the chicken is just cooked, texture is so good, taste just nice !

Pasta --- 3rd dish that buddy cooked. I ate this dish for twice and l just love it. With the chese and capsicum, slice meats, pesto garvy, makes it tasted "Ichiban"... 2 tumbs up!

Tom Yam ---- Buddy cook this for me when i feel very cold. The temperature is around 10C-13C only that day. I am shaking in cold. I never tell but he just knew. So he cook these for me. Tom Yam, spinash, fried rice and fried egg. A enjoyable and warmth meal.....

Besides main dishes, I was pampered with lots of fruits and pastries. Hehe.... from strawberry to toast, junk food to cold cuts. I had everything. The "Fuego" is a famous cheese crackers here. Though is junk food but it tasted very good. Not too salty. And he is just too nice to buy me a cheese cream to dip the crackers. I love cheese! Wow... like in heaven. Strawberries are very very sweet. Can't stop eating it.......Fingers licking good !

Having such a nice and warmth treat, especially from the one you really love... I am just flying up high!

P/S: hey,my beloved, dont jealous hor...hehe.... come la if you want :P

Mannheim City

Mannheim --Germany, a small and quite town located outside the city. However, you can get your daily groceries, food, cloths there. Not much pub, but do have cafe, banks and other facilities such as post office, local buses company and shoplots.

I am out there with buddy to grab some groceries and do some shopping. *wink wink" -- Shopping!

Went to a small shopping mall, 4 stories high. First of all, go to men's department, manage to get a piece of ESPRIT shirt for my beloved -- nice and not very expensive! Buddy manage to get himself a sweather :).

Then, we went to women's department, hmm... not much good choices. So went up to bags and shoes department. Me manage to get 2 bags-One Samsonite and one Eastpak. Samsonite is a 2008 birthday gift from buddy! And he force me to get the Eastpak sling bag, saying mine is too ugly. So, hehe.... get it and is not very expensive.

Lastly, grab some chocolates, a softtoy keychain as souvenirs. Oh, and a cute cute bear for myself. Softtoy fetish. Can't resist! Discounted from Euro 15 to Euro 4..... hoho... new toy! And all expenses for my journey is being fully supported. I love you so much, buddy!
